The carefully selected and hand-picked grapes that undergo the appassimento method to produce this Recioto della Valpolicella come from a small, one hectare, east-facing vineyard situated on moraine clay and limestone soils in Pedemonte where vines are around 25 years old. The grapes are dried in small wooden crates known as “Arele” in humidity and temperature controlled warehouses, which offers a luscious and concentrated flavour. After 4 months the grapes are soft pressed and naturally fermented prior to ageing in Slavonian oak barrels for 2 years and a further 6 months in bottle prior to release.

From maritime vineyards in Marlboroughs south easterly extremes in the Blind River Valley. We exploit this coastal fruit by capturing a breezy finesse over the classic cranberry and wild strawberry aromas giving us a wine with enough bite and texture to be foody but with enough generosity of fruit to be a delicious glass on its own. A lick of oak in the winemaking lends a little soothing creaminess to the whole.

Perfumed with nettle ripe tropical fruits which are also evident on the palate along with limey flavours and a rich minerality - classic Marlborough Sauvignon. The wine is sappy fresh, clean and delicious.

Refreshingly unoaked, citrus and white peach flavours combine with a zesty fresh acidity and a clean, bright and linear mineral finish. The judicious addition of Langhorne Creek Chardonnay adds palate, weight and texture. Ultimately, this is a bright expression of a Victorian Chardonnay.

With the faintest whiff of biscuity oak this bright, tangy Barossa Chardonnay is an absolute delight. It has that classical Barossa charm, elegance, poise, tang and naggingly more-ish elusive something-or-other which makes one wonder why there isnt more Australian Chardonnay. The 205 enjoys all of the notes above with added texture and breadth making this vintage foodier still.

From the stable of Familia Torres comes this medium to full-bodied Tempranillo from high altitude vineyards in Ribera del Duero. It has a dramatically dark colour which leads onto a palate of bold blackberries and black cherries with spice and lovely touches of vanilla and wonderfully ripe tannins gained from the time spent in oak barrels.

This bouquet is characterized with elegance and is expressive, offering aromas of white-fleshed fruits, such as pear and apple, complemented by floral notes and a hint of minerality.
