Toffee and vanilla with pleasant supporting oak notes. Fresh banana (neither overpowering nor artificial), a hint of nougat and honeycomb pieces. Praline, cinnamon and a little ginger with perhaps a hint of cardamom returning right at the death. Approachable, adaptable, good mouthfeel (I chucked some ice in afterwards and the texture was great). A hugely accessible whisky with tasty spice, toffee and, with the ice now, increasingly some tropical fruit notes too.

Made with 100% Japanese white rice, the name Haku means �white� in Japanese. The word can also be read as �brilliant� � a tribute to the craft of mastering a clear, clean tasting, and luminous vodka. Nose Complex, slightly honeyed nose with hints of vanilla cream, buttery toffee, cinnamon, cedar and sandalwood. Palate Thick, smooth palate. Good caramel-like entry with soft fruits, spiced oak, manuka honey and cinnamon. Finish Citrus and vanilla on the finish.

Clean and dry without being in any way astringent. The complexity of the nose comes through in the taste; citrus and juniper with a subtle lingering finish of cool refreshing cucumber and rose. In addition to the traditional juniper infusion, Hendricks uses Bulgarian rose and cucumber to add flavour.

Woody and nutty, with a little sweetness. Develops rounded floral notes, with elements of berries, vanilla spice and plenty of oak later on.

Perception of a strong spicy cognac note, tantalising the lips and palate with its distinct peppery flavor intertwined with a hint of chocolate. A wave of warmth grows, crests and then breaks. A robust presence, full and voluptuous, is felt.

Clean, citrusy, pleasantly bitter. Orange, gentian root and Roman absinthe are skillfully blended to create a liqueur with pleasantly bitter herbal notes.
