The rare elegance of this wine is the result of an unusual fusion of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. After nine months barrel ageing, Chardonnay is blended with Sauvignon Blanc fresh from ageing in stainless steel. The result is a complex wine with a distinct personality and keen mineral notes that can be savoured even after many years in the bottle.

The most famous and important vineyard in San Giorgio, identified and named on maps going back to the early 800s, Misobolo enjoys perfect South/Southwest exposure and has higher ground to the north sheltering it from the icier winds coming out of the Alps. Ciecks oldest vines are planted here. Theres considerably more richness and structure here, more depth and a much stonier feel too. Very impressive wine, made from the relatively obscure Erbaluce variety, probably Chenin Blanc is the most obvious variety to like it too. Lovely stone and pear fruit, with minerality and good acidity.
