The nose offers inviting autumnal aromas with ripe bramble fruits and cedar smokiness. Lots of generous, savoury fruit and supple tannins on the palate with a lovely lift on the finish. This is drinking well now with a potential to age.

Classic Saint-Julien, that shows power and richness with a sense of finesse and restraint too. The nose shows rich fruit with some lifted eucalyptus notes from the Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate brings intense cassis, with fine grained tannins and a maturity that feels traditional and proper. A very classy left bank Bordeaux.

Ripe and very appealing with lovely velvety structure and concentrated fruit, notes of damsons, bramble and blackberry. Full bodied with good concentration and depth which carries through to the long finish. A classic and delicious Saint-Emilion - well made and elegant.

Intense cherry fruit, blackcurrant and lots of spicy oak. Characterful and complex with a moreish balance of attractive chalky tannins and acidity.

The most famous and important vineyard in San Giorgio, identified and named on maps going back to the early 800s, Misobolo enjoys perfect South/Southwest exposure and has higher ground to the north sheltering it from the icier winds coming out of the Alps. Ciecks oldest vines are planted here. Theres considerably more richness and structure here, more depth and a much stonier feel too. Very impressive wine, made from the relatively obscure Erbaluce variety, probably Chenin Blanc is the most obvious variety to like it too. Lovely stone and pear fruit, with minerality and good acidity.

A harmonious blend that combines the spiciness of Syrah, the fresh fruits of Petit Verdot and the juiciness from Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The beginning is fresh and fruity with good acidity, evolving into riper flavours with lightly herbaceous notes. Elegant tannins and fine, bright acid on the finish.

A fine pale-coloured rose with delicate aromas of pomegranates and raspberry and a distinctive flintiness. Theres finesse and elegance on the palate with flavours of soft red fruits, a gentle silky texture and a lingering fresh acidity on the finish.

Crushed laurel on the nose along with lime and goosberries and a lightly salty tang. This is a ripe and textured style of Sauvignon, with good concentration of citrus and stone fruit characters and fennel hints, this richness balanced by taut, mineral acidity.

Black pepper and spice on the nose, complemented by aromas of ripe black fruits, wild flowers, dried herbs and lightly smokey notes. The palate is fresh and supple, with ripe plum and black cherry fruit and hints of cocoa. Bright acidity and firm, ripe tannins balance the taut, concentrated fruit leading to a stony minerality on the long, savoury finish.
