This is a cinnamon flavored Spirit and it knows it with a solid punch of sweet cinnamon candy aromas. When you drink Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey, you do so for the cinnamon and it has plenty of it over a touch of vanilla and cracked pepper. The finish is long and spicy.

A surprisingly rich, aromatic nose with heather honey, mixed peels, soft smoke and rum spice. Cedar wood, oak and butterscotch, aniseed, Christmas cake and malt. Long, spiced nose with smoke on the tail.
Fragrant wood smoke and peaches combine with honey and barley scent to make the depth on the nose pronounced. Viscous and slight spice combine with a light flavour of peach and vanilla pod. To finish the smoke makes another appearance and the lingering taste of stewed peach.
Knob Creek Single Barrel is a potent combination of caramel, honey, cinnamon, and allspice with enough vanilla, wood, and nuttiness to complement the sweetness. Minty rye and light sourdough bread are secondary. Even after mellowing its still quite hot, but its no longer overpoweringly distracting.

On the nose a rich peaty smoke with slight saline seaweed. To taste the initial smoky nature is in the forefront with a seaweed undertone, a surprising sweetness that lingers in the finish. To some extent this is the quintessential Islay malt.
