Quinta da Fonte Souto Florao Red is an award-winning wine from the renowned Portuguese wine region of Alentejo. This wine is a blend of several grape varieties, predominantly Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Trincadeira, and Syrah, which are carefully selected to achieve an outstanding balance of flavor and aroma. The aging process of 2 months in oak barrels lends the wine a smooth, velvety texture, with a complexity of flavors that includes ripe red fruits, spices, and hints of vanilla.
Deep garnet red in colour. The bouquet shows lovely floral essence of roses, reflecting the Touriga Nacional. The palate is very well defined, fresh black fruit aromas with soft liquorice and bergamot notes. Fleshy palate with ripples of expressive plum and black cherry flavours keep in step with superbly integrated peppery tannins. Well rendered, balanced structure with understated wood on the finish.
Aromas of ripe bramble fruit, plum and a touch of spice. Generous on the palate with fresh red cherry and blackberry leaf characters - supple, fine tannins and a touch of spice on the juicy finish.
