There are lovely notes of spiced honey and mixed peels, a little malmsey, hazelnut and a touch of cut fruit with toasty oak providing a backbone. Palate Rich and full. There are notes of rye and spice, barley malt, a little nut oil with butterscotch and vanilla. Finish Quite sweet with butterscotch and dry oak spice.
On the nose this Whisky is spicy and peppery, but theres a richness behind it, with spicy oak and soft orange fruitiness, and soft vanilla notes from the bourbon cask. Grainy sweetness and candied orange peel, quite rich, accompanied by rich cinnamon and clove. Great balance, this really needs a little water to allow the flavours to unfurl.
Rittenhouse Rye starts sweet and herbal then transitions to dark, roasted, and bitter (but only slightly) after a few seconds. Many of the same notes carry over into the finish. Overall its quite dry with honey, licorice, and oak.
Russet in color, with rich oaky aromas. The taste is exceptionally smooth, with hints of vanilla, honey, and spice. Finish is crisp and clean, with long, lingering flavors.
The aroma is peanut butter, vanilla, and caramel corn with whiskey undertones. Additional time in the glass brings out butterscotch notes. The thick syrupy entry is candy sweet with simple syrup, orange, and vanilla frosting flavour. Caramel corn arrives building to a peanut butter peak.
Complex fruit with drizzles of caramel, butterscotch and vanilla; brown spice and toasted oak. Spicy at first, but quickly sweetened with rich caramel, vanilla and butterscotch, atop a deep layer of dried fruit. Lingering hints of dry fruit and caramelised wood sugar.
Waves of vanilla, fudge, crisp apple, and floral spiced honey, backed by toasted oak, lemon drizzle, and nutty malt. Oaken vanilla leads the way, joined by runny caramel, a hint of marmalade, and a touch of pepper. Honeyed granola joins, with candied nuts in tow. Zesty fruit, rich oak, and spiced oat biscuits.
America's biggest-selling premium bourbon, the much-loved Wild Turkey 101 is a richly-flavoured concoction with a mellowness that belies its high strength.
An 81 proof (40.5%ABV) bourbon crafted by Wild Turkey associate distiller Eddie Russell, son of master distiller Jimmy. It's a high rye mash matured in heavily charred casks for big flavour at a more approachable ABV than the 101.
I have to say, the flavor of Wild Turkey bourbon is absolutely fantastic. The mix of vanilla, caramel, and a hint of spice that hits you when you bring the glass up to your nose is truly delightful. If youre looking for a bourbon that is genuine and full of flavor
On the nose aged berry jam with desiccated coconut, vanilla cream and toffee. Palate has brown sugar, liquorice toffee and cinnamon impact first, followed by currant jam. This leads into black pepper and herby tarragon with a touch of spearmint. On the finish caramel notes and earthiness with a hint of anise.
Classic Yamazaki strawberries and dried fruits with floral notes coming from the Mizunara cask whisky. Fragrant sandalwood and maybe coconut. Certainly, a whisky where you could get lost in its nose! The dried berries remain lively on the palate (it even develops some raspberry notes along the way), but they're dialed back a bit to make room for light oak, white peach and a small amount of spice. Vanilla lasts and lasts, with spicy but sweet cinnamon acting as a final flourish.
